Clap is a QR and NFC pay-at-table platform for UK restaurants, cafés and bars. Guests scan a QR code or tap their phone at the table, see their bill, split it, tip if they want, and pay in seconds.

Does Clap replace our current card machine?

No. Clap runs alongside your existing setup. Your card machine stays available — Clap is an additional option at the table, not a replacement.

Which POS systems does Clap work with?

We're actively working to integrate with the major UK POS systems. Supported systems will be announced as integrations are completed and approved. If you tell us which system you use, we'll prioritise it.

Which payment methods are supported?

Apple Pay, Google Pay, debit and credit cards. Payments are processed by trusted, regulated payment providers.

How do payouts work?

Funds settle to your business bank account through our payment provider on a regular schedule. You'll see every transaction, tip and payout in your Clap dashboard.

What does it cost?

During the launch programme there's no setup fee and no monthly cost — you pay only the standard transaction fee, comparable to what you already pay on your card machine.

Yes. Card details are collected and processed directly by our PCI-DSS compliant payment provider — Clap never stores full card numbers. All connections are encrypted.
